Welcome to CoastalCompanion Weekly Georgia Edition.
I'm Joe Talentino. Spring is here and it shows.
Flowers are in full bloom and festival season is in full swing.
Every year there are a few favorite events that we don't want to miss.
And my pick this week for Georgia is one of those unique annual events.
Savanna is known for its beautiful gardens, rich history, and architecture.
So you couldn't imagine a better place for this festival.
My pick of the week is the Savannah Sidewalk Arts Festival.
This is a unique festival in downtown Savannah.
It's actually an arts competition for SCAD students.
Students create original chalk art on the sidewalks.
It's almost like an outdoor gallery showing.
Take a stroll through the area with your gang and pick out your favorite artworks.
You'll be amazed at the colorful chalk creations made by the talented students.
This is a great time to visit Savannah.
The sidewalk artists festival is a free event and open to the public.

as a pick of the week, Email it to us at WeeklyShow@CoastalCompanion.com.
I'll be back next week with another pick of the week from the coast.
