My dad was a lawyer but he always wanted to be a farmer.
And so many people I see, they have a professional career, but in the back of
their mind, they're just waiting until they make enough money that they can go
buy a piece of land and live their dream out on the land doing farming.
And for me, my answer was, "Why wait?" I don't need to wait until I'm 60 and have
money to buy something when I can just be a farmer now. And it doesn't actually take
that much capital if you don't buy the land. I think my parents,
although it could have been a shock that they had invested so much into my
education and now I was going to be a peasant farmer, they were hardly
surprised.
