Why Ghostbusters 3 Was Never Made - Today i learned

- Today I learned why Ghostbusters 3 was never made. (upbeat music) Hey everybody, Jason here, and today I learned why Ghostbusters III was never made. I think everybody knows by now there is a new Ghostbusters movie coming out. I actually went to a screening of it and there's a lot of people arguing over this movie. "It's not good," or, "How dare they desecrate the original." Or that it's some kind of feminist agenda or anti-male agenda movie. And you probably also know that it's turned the internet upside down. And my instinct when somebody is talking about a subject is for me to do research on it, search trivia, where things were filmed, why they happened, facts, figures, whatever. And I always heard there was rumors of a Ghostbusters 3 but I don't know why it was never made. I never did the work or the research to find out why it was never made. 'Cause everyone's talking about Ghostbusters right now, figured it was a perfect time to find out, why was Ghostbusters 3 never made? And although I'm not an insider, I may not actually have the facts of why it was never made. I wasn't in the meetings, I wasn't inside the brains of the people that were in charge of making them. So, some of the reasons it was never made, well, one, Harold Ramis passed away, so that makes It kind of impossible to really make a Ghostbusters 3. Also, I don't know if people remember, like, I didn't think Ghostbusters two was that great, and even though it did great financially, critically, it did not do well. People really seem to have a love affair with the Ghostbusters legacy, but it's really just the first movie, right? It's ecto cooler, it's the logo, it's Ray Parker Jr., and I loved it. I saw the movie when it was originally in the theater. And one of the facts I find the most interesting was Dan Aykroyd's script. I guess the script was called Ghostbusters 3 Hellbent. This is where the Ghostbusters go to hell, there's some alternate universe where Manhattan is called Manhellten. Manhattan, Manhellten. In the script, Donald Trump plays the devil, so, there's that. And listen, it kind of sounds awful, but it also kinda sounds amazing. And I'm sure there's plenty more facts of why Ghostbusters 3 was never made.
