Where did this idea for MetalDays come from? Are there any anecdotes?
I can say that I started this festival because I wanted to play on it with my band Prospect.
And that's probably the biggest anecdote.
Famous shout "Marjan" was born on this festival.
What is your version of its origin?
Marjan deffinitly is a Matalcamp (now MetalDays) story.
Nowdays we hear those Marjan shouts on Slovenian and other festivals abroad.
Even on Wacken, Summerbreeze ...
This anecdote might be quite true:
I remember the night when I slept in a hotel.
That night everyone shouted "Marjan" and with my company we did the same.
And I thought someone is messing with me - shouting below the window
So we asked people what is all about. The story is that one girl was searching
her boyfriend Marjan. He probably found a new girlfriend or something else happened.
So she shouted his name all desperate, angry and paranoid.
And other people in camp started mocking her shouting the same.
... Marjan!
