Hello, my name is Leong Zhang. I'm a skateboarder. I've been skating over 10 years and shoot photos for a living. You could say "skateboarding is my roots and surfing is my life." What word best describes your creative approach? Realistic, natural, pure. When would you lie? If the truth would get people hurt, then I suppose I'd lie. How do you want to die? Maybe surfing a 10+ meter high wave and drowning. That'd be the coolest way to go. What do you treasure most? My crew, skate crew, my family and my surfing crew. I am what I am today because of the people around me. It's impossible to do everything by yourself. So many things are achievable through the support of friends and family. Why did you agree to do this project? Because of the freedom if offered, I could choose who I wanted to shoot, and make it my own way. There were no restrictions, just put creative freedom. Why should anyone care about the subjects in your stories? The most attractive aspect in each story is the main characters, they are both very different from everyday people. They have unique views on life and how to seek their dreams. The choices they have made have this kind of spirit which pushes them. They are unique. This uniqueness will attract people to their stories
