Now putting the final touches on the bathroom can sometimes be a forgotten step in the process of renovating because the renovation process for a bathroom is so involved when you think about your bedroom, you wouldn't forget the color of the walls or the light fittings, the lamps, the tables, the side tables, you wouldn't forget those final touches so don't forget it in your bathroom. Lighting is something that's really, really important in a bathroom. Sometimes it gets forgotten in this area. Don't forget that a bathroom is used for practical purposes so over the vanity, you need good lighting to be able to do your make up or shaving whatever you might use that space for and then if you use it for baths and relaxing you also need a relaxing kind of lighting. If you're bathroom is not large enough to have 2 different types of lighting, perhaps you could use a dimmer switch so when you want to dim down the light and have a relaxing kind of time, you can just use the same light fittings but dim it down. Great ways to dress up the bathroom are with the mirror, that's something that's really a must have in the bathroom. So rather than just getting a plain old, boring mirror... how about a gold kind of gilt edged ornate mirror that would give it a really kind of luxury touch or a shabby chic kind of mirror will give it that kind of old fashioned vintage touch so depending on the frame that you choose for your mirror, that could be something that really adds personality to the bathroom. Storage is another thing that can really give you an opportunity to dress up the room so you could have a storage display area that has soaps and lotions and candles as well as towels, just displayed kind of strategically to make it feel really nice and have a nice relaxing bathroom feel or you can also use lockers or something old school lockers, maybe you could use as storage in a vintage, shabby kind of bathroom so there's just lots of ways of thinking outside the square to try to add your own style, to put your stamp on your bathroom Once you finish installing the basin and the toilet and the shower and all the hard bits, that's when the fun starts. wall hangings .... you could have a whole lot of different frames on the wall or you could have 1 huge frame with an unusual picture in there that you just love or something like that. Finally, bathroom accessories are an important inclusion. You would need to include them anyway. Towel rails, robe hooks, toilet roll holders and other accessories; if you have chrome tapware, it's a good idea to continue the chrome theme with the fixtures that you need to fit into the wall but you could have if you have a spare toilet roll canister, you could use a ceramic kind of a latte colored one or something like that to add a bit of color depending on the type of theme that you're going for throughout your bathroom. Towels and if you have a shower curtain are both real opportunities to inject color and life and personality into your bathroom. So that's just a few tips for putting the final touches on to your bathroom.
