Chancellor Randy Woodson's Wolfpack Welcome!

Welcome back. We’ve been working hard all summer to get the campus ready for you and we’re excited for another school year at NC State. A few things have happened you’ll notice, the bubble’s gone. It’s a miracle. When you walk on the brickyard it’s completely open and the Atrium is open for business. So, we’re very, very excited to have our food service back in full swing. You’ll notice the bookstore’s gone. But it’s reemerged. It’s in Harrelson Hall. Who would have thought that we could put a bookstore in the bottom of Harrelson, Harrelson Hall. It is outstanding. By the way, we have wonderful activities for Welcome Week, starting tonight with convocations. We hope you’ll all attend. Got a great group of speakers, ah to share with you. And classes start on Wednesday. Go to class. You know that. Okay. So, we are thrilled you’re back and we’ve worked hard to get things ready. Football team is excited. On Friday I went to their scrimmage and they are pumped up for a great season. When you go over to the soccer complex, you’ll see you’re no longer sitting on concrete. We’ve got bleachers. We’ve got seats. It’s a beautiful facility. And the men and women’s soccer team are ready to compete at the highest level in the ACC. So, we’re pumped up for another season of sports at NC State. We hope you’ll take advantage of everything this university has to offer. Get involved. Get out. Participate. And go to class. Enjoy the semester.
