How to wear a cropped top Welcome back to EDITED. I'm Jessica Brania and today I will be showing you five different combinations to style a cropped top - the trend-item of the season. This look is definitely one of my favourites: A boyfriend blazer (giving the look a laidback touch) combined with boyfriend jeans and peeptoes. This is the perfect look to either go shopping or head to a bar after work. Another style-combination, that I would like to show you, is the business-look. An all time classic in this category is the combination of a blazer with a leather skirt. I’ve chosen a blazer from Selected Femme since I am a fan of its light material and pretty detailing. If you combine this item with a cropped top, it will automatically create a stylish and modern office-look. Instead of dressing it up with 80s-style-leggings, we will combine it with sporty trousers like these from Minimum. They are awesome due to their bold and individual print. What I also like about this combination is this chiffon blouson. It’s made of transparent fabric and only lets the cropped top shimmer through. Looking at the history of the cropped top, one icon comes to mind: Madonna! It’s Madonna, who made cropped tops popular whenever her single "Lucky Star“ came out. In 2014, the cropped top is celebrating its big comeback. The interaction of a dark high waist jeans with an oversized military parka creates a sporty look. This parka from G-STAR is my favourite, because you can either wear it from this side (with military print) or the other, more elegant one. That means you pretty much have two jackets in one! The last outfit is inspired by a real style icon. Carrie Bradshaw has influenced the life of many women. No other woman has worn a cropped top more confident or stylish than her. I have created a perfect summer look by combining this beautiful Selected Femme-skirt with an oversized denim jacket. This look is really simple but at the same time quite impressive.
