Hello, I am Felipe Sousa Rodriguez.
I was born in Brazil and grew up in Florida.
The loves of my life are inseparable,
my family, my partner, my job, my community.
Work was something my mother instilled in me from a young age
and because of that I was the top student in Florida in 2008.
I felt like my education was my way of contributing to my family.
My community is very important, my friends who taught me how to speak Spanish
before I learned English.
The delicious food in Miami
and of course, Salsa and Merengue, the culture is also very important to me.
Also, my partner, who always supports me in the things I do everyday.
I’m an undocumented person, and he helps me and supports me in my everyday difficulties
We have a dream that one day our family will be considered equal
under the law,
that our marriage will one day be considered good and beautiful everywhere in the country.
