NCS with The Challenge, it's just...
so many things that it's helped. I've climbed mountains
I've met amazing new people. I've done things which I hadn't before.
I've gone out of my way to do things to that I hadn't before, like I just said, ...
like the Talent Show
I would never have - I don't even do talents infront of my own friends...
that I've known for all my life,
but to do it in front of people which I've known for less than four days
it's just unreal. If I can trust them and feel that comfortable...
around them,...
then it's just really opened my eyes.
The kind of opportunities presented in NCS with The Challenge
are really beneficial and you won't be able to do it anywhere else.
I'm not going to lie, I did not want to go on it [NCS] at first because I knew absolutely no one here, but now I know...
everyone. It's really good. I've got to know so many people, that's not what...
I was expecting to do.
It's really good socially...
really, really good. I helped build up my confidence, ...
helped build people skills
It's just good!
My first Impression was, I was- everyone was nervous because no one really knew each other.
But as the day progressed we just kind of bonded...
and got into a team.
It's a really nice experience for people to meet up and...
do things which they might not be able to do with The Challenge.
Like what we did, we went to Elm Lodge care home,
which was basically a retirement home for old people
Normally I wouldn't have the chance to volunteer, but through this programme I volunteered
and I got to know a bit more about other people.
