Right there's an interesting one. The Car came here for odour-kill
a couple of weeks ago
The guy has had to come quite a way
We usually have a very good track record on these.
99% of them go with our first treatment, we did fogging as well so...
that even increases the odds.
but occassionally you are going to get one where the smell
comes back again and this is one,
we suspected there might be ash somewhere.
We've taken apart the dashboard. There's usually screws under the dashboard around about here.
fairly easy to most cars the steering column [casing] comes off
and there's not a lot of ash, just a bit of dust mainly. We expected to find ash in there.
then we've moved underneath and there's ash in there,
right in these little bits, right under here. Whoever owned this car must have
lived up a dusty road,
and also must have smoked, and then anyway, we came to this bit.
This is interesting, I don't know if you can see that. It's a bit dark.
Lets reveal it.
Right in the bottom there. Let me get a torch on that. You might be able to see it a bit better if i shine a torch on it.
There you have it.
I don't know if you can see that very well but its next to the thing there.
Also down there as well.
It looks like it might be a little bit of wacky-backy.
I don't think it's anything sinister, nobody's been smuggling it.
somebody been sat in the seat and rolling it.
There's a possibility that it's ordinary tobacco but it smells extremely...
and obviously we think that's where the problem is. A little clue there around the anchor point.
...on the seat. We have had all the steering wheel
clips off ti see if this person was using it like an ashtray
it's all come off and it seems to be okay in there which is a
bit of a surprise. Look at Volvo, they have built a little device there like
a concertina which collapses on impact. To make the steering column collapse
without doing too much damage.
it's cleaver stuff ain't it? Another little glimpse of the dirt and dust under there. So there you have it.
another one bites the dust. It's in the seat runner down there as well.
We've got a special machine for that.
And just in this pocket here, I didn't realize there was a pocket there. When the seats up in the air you can see it of course.
there's some more in there so, I'll easily rectify that and
possibly even on the gaps of the seats
and the gaps on the steering wheel,
Actually it's done on those gaps to be fair,
We've got a special airline and we'll get it in there again
and clean the stitches on the steering wheel. And we'll go through it again and remove the source.
I'm confident that's the one now,
We got the source.
So there you go.
