Hi, I'm Jane from BlenditandMendit.com. Welcome. Today is day 16 of the 21 Day Avocado Smoothie
Power Plan that I am doing; the book by Dr. Ariel Policano and Lori Clayton,
a raw food chef. Some of you are doing this along with me.
I've already made 2 of their fig recipes. One more fig recipe today.
It combines savory cilantro with the avocado and the figs. It sounds delicious. One cup
of ice. 4 fresh figs. Or in the alternative, because I couldn't
get fresh figs, I took 12 small, dried mission figs, soaked them overnight and I'm
using those as a replacement. I'm also using the soak water as part of the
one cup of water that the recipe calls for. 1/2 cup of cilantro.
2 limes, juiced. 1/2 of a ripe banana. 2 dates, make sure you take out the pits. And 1/4 of
an avocado, of course, because we are on the 21 Day Avocado Smoothie
Power Plan and I am loving it.
I can smell the freshness of the lime coming out of here. It smells wonderful. There's
no salt added to this but it tastes like a Margarita. It's really refreshing and
really delicious. A creamy smooth blend from the avocado.
These smoothies with the avocados tend to hold me longer. I don't get hungry soon after
a green smoothie like I used to. I have really enjoyed
Ariel's and Lori's figgy recipes with the figs, something I don't normally put
into my green smoothies, so I'm really happy that I learned this new trick. I like figs,
best to get them fresh, but the dried figs are working perfectly for
these recipes. It's really good, it's delicious, aromatic,
pleasant. You have to try this one, please when you try this leave your comments
below, I would like to know what you think of it.
