La Frase Del Día - Día ciento veintinueve - Another one bites the dust

We find ourselves on day 129 of the phrase of the day.
Some months back, someone asked me how to say the English phrase "another one bites the dust" in Spanish.
And today I was listening to a gentleman from Mexico explaining that, "One day we will all bite the dust."
A bit later, I asked him, "What does 'morder el polvo' mean to you?"
He responded that it means to fall to the ground.
Or it also can mean that someone dies.
In his phrase, he used it to say that one day we will die.
So, as a result, you can literally translate, "another [one] bites the dust."
But I must confess that I asked some others, and it was kind of like they didn't completely understand.
So I'll tell you that it's a possible thing you can say...
but it's not to say that everyone is going to understand you if you use the expression 'morder el polvo' instead of 'morir'.
