Now we'll prepare a swing for our bead encrusted birds cage. You want to take a pop sickle
stick and just cut off the rounded edge like this. And then cut a piece 2 1/2 inches long.
The bird is going to sit on the pop sickle stick flat. Take a pipe cleaner and right
in the center, you want to fold it out so that its going flat along the bottom. And
pinch it in, like this and then twist it nice and tight on to the pop sickle stick. You
can twist that all the way up. So you have a single swing swing end. And then repeat
the same thing on the other side. Right on the center. And bend it up and around. And
twist it nice and tight. And you could put a little dab of glue there, to make sure it
holds on good and tight. Maybe when we are gluing our bird to the swing we'll put a little
glue there also. And then the, you'll put the swing up through the basket. Pick a good
spot. Nice in the center. And bring the swing. Oops. Bring the swing so that it comes to
about half the size of the box. So if the box is sitting down on the table like this,
the swing will go there. And make sure that there is enough room for the size bird that
you made. And then just twist the pipe cleaners on, like that. And then you can bend them
to readjust. You can bend them around. Just fix them any way you want there on the top.
And trim off the extra pieces. And we'll make a handle for our birdcage box. Just take,
you could take one or two pipe cleaners. And you want to get it in and around. So I found
the best way to do it is to make a little hook on the end of your pipe cleaner. Like
that. And then you can hook through one of the grates of the basket. And then twist that
around. And then on the other end do the same thing. Make a little hook, and then that makes
it a lot easier to hook into your basket. And then you come up and twist it. Now we're
almost ready for our bird. We just have to wait for it to dry.
