Alright, now I want to talk about one other thing about your greeting. As far as your
speaking voice, same principals to all other business conversations; be professional, don't
speak to fast; have a smile in your voice, be positive and helpful; articulate so that
people can understand you. Another thing that you want to do is make sure you leave your,
you make your greeting current. If you, if you're out a lot; if you have different instructions
for your callers a lot, make sure you change that greeting a lot. The worst thing for me
to do today, March 18th is to call up and your greeting says "Hello, this is Tracy Goodwin
today is February 23rd and I'll be out of the office today"; ok but where are you March
18th? I need to talk to you now, alright. No instructions, I have no idea what's going
on; that's very unprofessional. And that last and most important thing to do know matter
how difficult it is; respond to those messages promptly. "Oh yeah Bob, I got your message
two weeks ago and; and I'm calling you back, ok." Really 72 hour max turn around on responding
to those phone messages. And if you follow those tips, you're going to have a great great
greeting.
