In this clip, I will talk about the traditions in Bulgaria, which is very important because
Bulgaria has thirteen centuries of history. And when I was five or six, I don't exactly
remember; my grandmother really started to teach me all of these movements, and that's
how I became later on a professional dancer. I actually taught my daughter also, and she
was dancing in a a children dance company, and this is the place to say that there is
no family where the kids are not capable to do the basic steps of that dance. In the high
schools and mid middle schools, Ruchenitza is also studied in the physical education
class, so this is part of the folk treasury, and it's a honorable thing to be able to keep
the tradition.
