We are counting down Top 10 best winners of Eurovision Song Contest.
We are excluding Turkey's 2003 winner "Sertab Erener", and her song "Everyway That I Can" to have a more objective list.
Number 10
On May 14, 2011, El-Niki won the contest held in Germany with the song "Running Scared".
Azerbaijan, who participated in the competition for the first time in 2008, took 221 points which was the country's best result to date.
Number 9
Satellite is the song that gives Germany the second win in 28 years.
The song, which won the first place with 246 points in the competition in Oslo in 2010, is performed by young singer Lena, born in 1991.
Number 8
Winner of 33rd Eurovision song contest was composed by Atilla Şereftuğ, and performed by Celine Dion.
Switzerland won the contest with 137 points. This was Switzerland’s second win after their win in 1956 in the first Eurovision Song Contest.
Number 7
The song won the contest with 365 points in 2015, and this was Sweden’s sixth win in Eurovision.
The song was quite similar to DJ David Guetta's melody of 'Lovers on the Sun', which was released in 2014.
Number 6
Norway, one of the countries with most “last places” in the history of the contest, won the first place in 2009, with 387 points, in Moscow, Russia's capital city.
This was Norway’s third win and 387 was the highest score in the competition history.
Number 5
Ruslana, a Ukrainian singer, dancer and deputy at the same time, won the competition which was held in our country after Sertab Erener’s win in 2003.
Wild Dances had 280 points.
Number 4
In the competition held in Ukraine’s capital city, Kiev, Helena Paparizou received 230 points for her song "My Number One" and gave Greece the best result in Eurovision.
Number 3
Marija Šerifović won the 2007 competition in Helsinki with the song Molitva.
Competing for the first time, Serbia received 268 points. This is their best result in the competition.
Number 2
The Norwegian group Secret Garden won the contest held in Dublin in 1995 with 148 points.
The song, which consists of only 24 words, is the winner with least words in the history of Eurovision.
Number 1
Euphoria had the second highest score of Eurovision history.
The singer received 372 points in the competition held in Azerbaijan's capital Baku, in 2012, bringing Sweden their fifth win.
