Hi I'm Laura from PeterGlenn.com and I'm wearing the Bogner Silia-D
jacket and this is for women for 2012
i absolutely love this jacket and because it is the kind of coat that you
can wear when you're out there skiing but then you can also wary in town in
Aspen or Vail or even at home and it looks fantastic there as well
so this is a down jacket you can probably tell by the quilting it's got
that quintessential down jacket look
i'm very very warm very warm insulation on but
because of the way they quilted it it's not super puffy
Bogneris a fashion house so they always do a fantastic job with fits
and this jacket is definitely no exception
The other really neat thing that they've done is they've used a really soft
polyester fabric
and and with that does is it makes a jacket quiet so when you're out there
moving around you don't get that sound
uh... nylon scratching on nylon
this jacket is also 10K waterproof so
it's going to keep you plenty dry in skiing conditions but its 20K
breathability.
one of the great things about down is that it's incredibly breathable
and so when you're out there in your skiing sweat is not build up underneath
so excess heat is going to be able to escape
and that's going to keep you warmer and drier
the other this is if you're walking around town and you walk into a very hot
all or shopping center like all of us have
you won't be instantly hit with that on fire thousand-degree feeling the down is
really nice and readable. The Silia is first and foremost a ski jacket so
in addition to the waterproofing insulation there's a lot of features
that you'll want to know about.
first of all pockets there are two pockets here at the waist just like
normal
and there's also zippered pocket on the inside so you can securely stow your
essentials
and there's a powder skirt in this jacket that's gonna prevents any uh... deep
snow or at cold air from getting up inside
and their is obviously a hood on this jacket
and the hood comes nice and far over your face
so that when falling snow or falling sleet coming down they're not hitting you in
the face they're getting stopped by the
fur lining.
speaking of the fur is a
Fin raccoon fur and its absolutely
the softest most beautiful fur
Bogner always uses top-quality materials and that's definitely not an
exception
uh... there's also a ribbed-neck cuffs on this coat and this are really nice because
they fit closer around the wrists here and they prevent any cold air from
getting up inside the jacket
the fit on this jacket , some fashion house so if it's really
nice and actual if it's really true as well
i'm wearing a 4 in this jacket and that's what i always wear
it fits perfectly there's nothing I would change about it plenty of room to
move in it but also if fits close enough that it looks feminine and it looks
cute.
There is actually a printed liner on the inside of the jacket and it's old
black and white photos of like vintage skiing it's really fun
and all of the hardware on Bogner jackets is metal so has a very high end
finished look.
his jacket is uh... a little bit shorter than some of the others this hits me
right on my hip bones here so i'm 5'8"
and that is just about three or four inches below where my jeans would sit
... so there's enough coverage so they don't get snow and set up inside but
has a really cute modern look to it
overall and this jacketis beautiful it's been there it's going to last a lifetime
have definitely has great performance as well as a really and high and look
