We're going to set a static IP address for the interface that connects to our domain.
Run "dcpromo.exe", it's the Active Directory Service installation Wizard.
Wait until Windows finishes loading all the installation necessary packages.
Using Advanced Installation we'll be able to configure AD as we want.
We will create a new domain on a new forest, and this server will be our Domain Controller
Here, we type the name of the new domain.
The NetBIOS name is the name that will appear everytime we log in to our domain.
The Wizard will automatically install the DNS service with default settings. We can reconfigure it later.
I have two network interfaces, and one goes to the Internet, that one has a DHCP assigned address.
We will use this domain with an internal network, we're not going to connect this domain with the Internet.
Default folder settings are recommended.
Choose a password for the Administrator account. (Will be used when you start AD on Restore Mode)
Be sure these are the settings you want, after AD Installation, modifying these settings may be complicated.
Check the "Reboot on completion" box, and wait until it finishes installing
It's always recommended to reboot after any service installation.
Now this server is the Domain Controller for this domain.
