Looks like toys of today have to be complicated
to be noticed at all. That's why "Dracco Speed Spin" exists.
Good Lord!
(lacht) Who'd have known, it's a spin top, and it spins!
Counter ...
clockwise ... and this already broke the damn thing.
The lolly was the best part! So much for last time.
Whoever thought Dracco would keep it at that
has got another thing coming. They did produce
a second version, which is called
"Dracco Spin METAL CLASH"
As anyone in the know can see, it's a pretty well done
clone of Beyblade Metal Fusion, including the metal
parts in it. "XL Metal!"
Like I said. It's a rather heavy bag
and contains one of twelve different spin tops,
or "Battle Discs", or whatever the hell these things are called,
which all look rather colorful, but also pretty much the same.
They got silly names like "Plasma Phoenix",
"Sandstorm Vulture" or "Scorpion Motor" ... yeah. Right!
Of course, the Beyblade originals also
sport similarly stupid names.
Also included is a launcher, which hopefully is more durable than last time,
a string to start the spin top, which is likely not as strong as it might appear,
and the spin top itself -
"Battle Disc", "Metal Stabilizer", "Compression Base" What the ***?!
"Spin Tip"
Brochure, stickers, blah, we've seen that before. And lots of warning text,
of which you should at least take note of this advice:
"Please do not use hand to catch the spinner while it is still spinning."
Sounds like a good idea alright
considering the metal ring, but now I want to see
how this thing works.
Okay ...
Yeah, that's the launcher.
Hmhm.
Cheap plastic. I fear for the worst.
Hm.
The metal ring - not as heavy as I thought, but not entirely weak either.
Sticker - looks like we got a "Stone Viper" - in terrible quality.
Bah!
The string is way longer than on the packaging,
but it would likely not fit the picture anyway.
And some instructions!
Oh! Oh, the colors!
Yeah, that's pretty much a grade-A Beyblade clone.
Including the badly drawn anime characters, marvellous!
They even got some kind of silly back story ... how do we assemble this thing?
Looks somewhat ...
Hmm ...
"Spin Tip" ...
doesn't exist ... this does not look like on the bag?
That's not so great. Oh well ... what's up with that?
Something's definitely missing here.
One second!
Okay ... "Battle Disc" ...
here.
"Metal Stabilizer" ... there.
"Compression Base" ... ah, maybe the "Spin Tip" is already in there?
How do I get it out of there?
I thought they could be disassembled.
Whatever ... let's get to
assembling it.
How do I do that again?
This way? Or that way? Or what?
Hmm.
This way? Aha!
Looks like this way. And now ...
to attach this thing ...
Good Lord ...
Jeez Richard, what the hell are you doing?
Well.
It's the very first time I try to assemble such a device.
I hope you can forgive me. Now this looks rather
competent. And what now?
Hmm ...
"Insert the rip cord into the marked opening at the top of the starter."
Yeah ... that's probably ...
somehow ...
yeah, this fits that.
Okay, and now? Aha!
Okay, that's the rip cord. Now, let's ...
"Attach the spin top to the bottom side of the starter", yeah, let's do that.
Fine. And now, we'll rip ...
"Twist the spin top, then rip the cord to launch it." Why do I have to twist it?
What's the point in that?
Well, let's see ...
Wow! (lacht) Great job, that thing didn't last more
than two seconds. I am very pleased!
I'll need to fetch the thing from the floor, give me a second.
Here we are again!
I'll need to reassemble it, it's really kind of dangerous.
It didn't last very long, but I'll try again. Apart from that, it works
quite a bit better than the last one, seriously.
So ...
Click.
Put it in ...
And ...
Well, great.
It's a spin top. It spins.
It's exactly the same as before, only that it contains metal.
Which is admittedly some progress.
At least it lasts a bit longer as long as you assemble it correctly.
But somehow ...
what's the bloody point?
I really don't know.
Let's read up a bit while this thing there is spinning ...
around on its own. Here are the rules.
"You can either use the 'Battle Arena' or draw a circle on the floor."
Okay, what's a "Battle Arena"? Is that
one of these plastic bowls for 45 Euro? Hmm.
I hope not. What else do we have?
Ah, they also have some kind of stats.
Exactly like Beyblades.
What did we have? A "Stone Viper" or something like that? Ow!
They didn't lie, it hurts quite a bit.
I don't think it was a "Stone Viper" ...
but I was wrong, it's a "Stone Viper" alright. Fair enough. "Mission Greece".
Ah yes. "The power of the greek gods was always"
"legendary, but this one is one of the angriest."
I've never heared about this greek god before.
No clue what it all means, but I reckon
the stats are like Beyblades, defense and stuff like that.
And stability and some such nonsense, I don't really
understand what's ...
what is what.
But I assume it's all the same to me since I
won't bother with all this nonsense any further. It's all good.
Anyway ...
it works better than the last one. What's definitely missing is the lollypop.
It was the best part of the other bag!
Now I do have a working spin top that lasts longer
than a second, which is a plus,
but I don't have a lollypop to eat, and that sucks.
Mhh.
Watch me destroy the camera.
I'm just like that. Wow!
Ace!
And with these words, I'm going to finish.
I'm pretty damn certain there'll be another version of "Dracco Speed Spin whatever"
and maybe I'll make a video about it.
Oh!
It works quite well indeed. I won't touch it again, that wasn't the brightest idea.
Whatever, see you next time!
