Here at Providence College, we share the good times. But we also help one another through the bad times.
That's what the Angel fund is all about. Helping PC students who need it most.
The Angel fund helped the student whose father passed away in the middle of his junior year.
Thanks to donors like you, he was able to earn his degree from Providence College.
The Angel fund helped a sophomore who had to transfer to another school for financial reasons.
She was so unhappy there. But thanks to donors like you, she was able to return to PC.
More than 40 PC students lost their homes, their belongings, and their sense of security in Hurricane Sandy.
Thanks to the Angel fund, they were able to stay at PC this semester.
These are our classmates, our friends, our fellow Friars. Your fellow Friars. The need is real. And it's urgent.
Hi Friar family, these stories are real. And so is the need. I've seen it on campus,
that's why Nurys and I would like to do something about it. I know all of you are having an unbelievable time in Boston.
I wish I could be there. I'm on the road right now in Virginia, trying to recruit a top ten class, so we can attempt to win
a National Championship. Yet the Angel fund is so important to me. It allows young men and women the
opportunity to live their dreams, as you and I have lived ours. The Fund the Need Program is going to give back
to these young men and women so that their dreams could come true. Nurys and I would like to start the pledge off
by donating $10,000 to this worthy need. It's true, it's real, and many of you can change lives.
Your generosity is so important, and it is greatly appreciated. Remember, from the bottom of my heart
I love each and every one of you. I miss you. And go Friars.
