We've covered if you have watched all the videos so far, we've covered the lob serve,
we've done the backhand serve, we've done the overhand serve so now we are going to
do the side arm serve and so side arm is obviously in between the overhead and the lob but it
is a very important serve because it gives you a different angle and everything you do
gives you a different angle. So the sidearm serve is going to be anywhere from here to
about here so it allows me to safely put the ball on the side of the wall where my opponent
will have a tough time getting a great look at it. The lob serve as we have demonstrated
earlier can really make it very tough because the ball comes down at a very steep angle
to the opponent. The sidearm serve and the overhead serve don't have that advantage but
it is a very effective serve because I can place it where I want for the most part and
by using this serve I may not win the point outright on the serve but it is going to give
me a good look at the ball coming back so once again the sidearm serve is just like
in baseball you will see a sidearm pitcher and we will use the big ball. So the sidearm
serve gives you a great look at the ball and it is a good serve and you need to practice
it a lot but you can get very very accurate at it and keep your opponent off balance.
