Frame Tent Basics - Removing the tent top from the frame

There are a couple of different ways for pulling the top off the frame. Most of it has to do with how you are going to fold it and how much room you have. The easiest way to do this, if you have enough room, is to pull the top off on a wide open drop cloth. Then fold it up after the top is off the frame. We have another tent in the way. We have a center pole in the way, so the way this needs to be done is as you pull it off the frame, we are going to fan fold it on to this drop cloth. The best way to do this is with three people. Does everybody know what I mean by fan fold? We are going to pull about this much of the fabric. We are going to pull it down. We are going to grab the same amount and pull it on top and make a fan. These three guys are going to pull it off the frame about this far and they are going to set it on top of the drop cloth. Then, they will start to fan fold. As far as fan folding now, the two guys on the end of the tent are going to play tug-a-war. They are going to create a crease. The guy in the middle is going to grab the crease and pull it over. They will do it again. Stop
