Resurrection Week 2011

[lasers sound effect] Hello as you know I’m Bishop Long and I’m so excited about Easter. I’m so excited about resurrection Sunday I along with my family and my church family New Birth family will be celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ right here on Easter. And it’s going to be a wonderful celebration. We’re gonna have a great time because we realize that this puts the power in our faith. Knowing not only did He die, not only was He buried but on the 3rd day God rolled the stone away to show us that our savior lives. Our resurrection celebration will begin on Wednesday April 20th in a career fair in our Family Life Center from 10 until 2 that's right. Employers will be here looking to hire those who need a job in theses tough times. So bring your resume and dress for success. I encourage you to come to our Good Friday Service on April 22nd. It actually begins at 7:30am that’s 730am. I also want you to be part of a very special resurrection outreach day on Saturday. That’s April 23rd from 10 until 3. New Birth will show how we love, live and lead like Christ by providing free services to the homeless. We will feed our guests provides haircuts, hair styling, clothing shoes, free health and dental screening. Finally on Resurrection Sunday I invite you to join us for one of our 3 Resurrection worship services. One is at 6am the other 8am and fisnally 11am. The greatest service on on Easter is to bring somebody to expose them to the life of Christ most of all the resurrected life of Christ knowing there’s no place no situation nothing that you can deal with in life that will ever put you down or put you out because you have the resurrection power of Christ. So I’m asking you to join with us the congregation as you invite a friend a neighbor, someone who has not been exposed to the good news of the gospel, that they would come and rejoice with us but most of all see the light of a new day and confess Christ as their savior that they can walk in that resurrection power. What a great great feeling to see somebody move from darkness into the marvelous light. Oh my God that’s powerful. Come join us it’s goin’ be great. [laser sound effect]
