Aladinou Cave

A natural wonder of the Cyclades, the island is home to a few cave explorations nature
enthusiasts will marvel over. Accessible by bus or car, Cave Foros, located a 120 meters
from it's nearest village, Aladinou, is composed of stalactites, stalagmites, and helictites,
hanging rocks, colorful limestone and gour formations.
The municipality recently opened the cave for visiting. The tour starts from the Old
Bridge, built in 1680 A.C. Be warned, however, to wear hiking boots on your visit as temperatures
inside the cave range from 16-17°C throughout the year, with 75% humidity, so it can get
a little slippery.
