Hello, I'm David Kenward, The Mental Coach. People ask me
are you a sports psychologist?
I'm very different. You see, sport psychology
typically works with the analytical part of your brain,
the part of your brain that distinguishes between hot and cold,
between
high and low, things like that.
Things that are very specific.
I deal
and work with the imagination part of your mind.
The imagination part of your mind is where your beliefs are, your habits,
because if you do good in practice but you're not doing your best under pressure,
there's something going on with your belief system, something's happening,
your mental game
is malfunctioning.
You can't fix that by thinking about it
if you could you would have already done it.
So
I don't deal with the thinking part, analytical part of the brain at all.
That's sport psychology and they are welcome to it, they do really good
for what there is.
But if you've got a problem with the mental game, you need to go and fix it where it lives.
That's in the imagination part of your mind.
That's what the mental coach does,
quickly!
