I Wish My Son Was Never Born, Says Adam Lanza's Father

Adam Lanza's father Peter Lanza Peter Lanza has a broken his silence he gave an interview to The New Yorker where he talked about his son and the Newtown Connecticut shooting that took place December 2012 now he talks about how he wishes his son was never bored which is obviously an understandable perspective giving what his son given what his son is done he also says the following: any variation on what I did and how my relationship was had to be good because no outcome could be worse you can get anymore evil how much do I beat on myself about the fact that he's my son a lot he had Aspergers aspirin only as only the violence or anything like that great but that the father is worth it it was masking schizophrenia I bring that up in the context of the word evil I've always thought that was on weird and uncomfortable word right neither it people don't do incredibly bad things so that we would normally put put in the category evil but like this kid is a disaster you can't condemn him anymore than everybody's already condemned them I'll it seems weird for a father to say that he was evil he obviously had significant monumental meant mental illness it doesn't this accord Accord excuses behaviors not like okay pat on the back is already dead he shot himself right but police I could not like he was possessed by the devil I mean yes such a weird word there don't you think I think evil is usually I'm a word that's used when you can't really explain what's happening it's kind of like and easy way of explaining something right so it's bothered us go into specifics like his social awkwardness which are read to you in just a second but I agree with you I don't think that he just had Aspergers and I like that you mention that *** burgers is not associated with violent behavior whatsoever to form about Islam but there might have been something there that was undiagnosed and the most frustrating part about all that is the fact that he had the access to the guns and his own family's mother right been taught him how to shoot a gun and she had the guns laying around knowing that his son had some significant issues now according to his father it was crystal clear something was wrong the social awkwardness the uncomfortable anxiety unable to sleep stress unable to concentrate having a hard time learning the awkward walk reduced I contact you could see the changes occurring and he says that he started noticing those changes early as middle school yeah now it's interesting as in the beginning he said you just hope normal kid you know it as far as they could tell and then these changes began a record-setter so that's what Lisa work with the second interesting thing here which is if you're the dad. do you then say I wish I never had a ok I mean to a certain degree obviously cause anyone to kill all those people in your ex wife and himself et cetera but I feel like what happened to was clearly some sort of Ellis like to me a guy like OJ simpson is more evil because he doesn't have any schizophrenia or anything like that you just pissed a and his from ex-wife in lover presumably allegedly okay we know he was acquitted he's in jail for something else now because their head of three does it for personal reasons and then you know and then he didn't seem like afterwards smiling playing golf having the time of his life et cetera to me a that's more cold calculating it surrounds his own 10 you know millions example use as was a guy like this was clearly mentally unbalanced and violent because of that not that mentally unbalanced people are violent in general but he was I didn't look at every word types a mental illnesses obviously so it's not making a blanket statement about everyone has some sort of mental illness but I would make an argument that this is a perfect case %uh why we need to have you know affordable accessible health insurance mental health care that why that way we ensure that those who do have these types of conditions are properly diagnose properly treated we can minimize the effects up having some sort of illness whether it's good to bring your something else on but in this case I mean it in I don't feel like anyone really learned a lesson we never pass any real gun control we didn't really do much when it comes to dealing with I'm but needing mental health facilities appropriately so as a result like all you can do is kinda read about this and say yeah here's a lesson that we could have learned that we didn't learn it is really unfortunate lapierre lands is an incredibly hard spot and and I feel bad about saying this but I and he says in his own peace look at it like in a city I beat myself up a lot about could I have done something differently and I'm sure that's going to be run through his head but I was so she had written this set I don't see much value in it we know you feel bad about any any decent human being would and I presume already before your order that your decent human being yeah so I didn't think that he had to rehash this and then call sign evil and say which he was never born it seems like he's doing it so that people leave them alone in and saying oh it's okay peter is not your fault or something I just felt it was unnecessary right well there might have been a therapeutic value to it for him so we don't know what his intentions were right now but it's out there and we know is perspective and I think that there's some value in knowing his perspective as well the last time he saw his son was two years before the shooting occurred so he had no relationship with the Sun apparently Adam Lanza wanted nothing to do with him so they kinda cut communication they were totally estranged I if any be mace one I he musta gotten so much grief for this and I get it right night and he's basically what he's doing here is this seems distancing himself from his son Seif drivin over there and I had simple tauruses 2010 the chains doubt but he says I had already given better the doubt as I read this I think like he's already dead you don't have to throw him under the bus even more everybody else can cause we were his dad gray I don't know Adam Lanza I can say whatever the hell I want about it here is that you don't have the you know do this after he's already dead guide oh that sucks about I might be wrong about that people might feel differently about that but that's how I felt
