hi this is karen titus from stamping on the back porch today we're going to make another
i've kind of been on this quilt card look lately because i love to quilt this reminds
me of a pattern i think it was called grandma's garden but with all the little hexagon shapes
and you can see i have three different ones here this is all done with the sweet sorbet
designer series paper you get a variety of different looks so with this fun look the
base card i'm using is today is crisp cataloupe these were pistachio pudding and it all goes
with the same paper and then thats the full size card and then i have a layer of black
card stock thats five and a quarter by four and then a piece of whisper white thats five
by three and three fourths and as you can see i took this and i put it through the honeycomb
folder and i just put it about this length i can see it tore a little that was in transporting
it to this room so we'll just pretend its just fine so i ran that through and it looks
like this the reason i did it just three quarters of the way is that i want to put words on
the flat part on the top i'm using the thank you from the simply celebrate set i love the
four words in this set so i will just put that on and then i'm using the crisp cataloupe
ruffled stretch trim now i would first attach this then add my trim with the glue dot one
on each side and i like to just stretch it a little so it will lay flat this ribbon i
think is so pretty with it i will put that there so you can see it what we are going
for and then i've just taken a piece of the i'll set that aside for the moment of one
of the papers from the sweet sorbet designer series paper and put it through the hexagon
hive thinlets die so it coordinates with this other beautifully then i'm going to just pop
that out and actually all i am caring about right now is getting a few of these there
thats good i can take the whole back off and do another card with so now i have these and
one of black and all i did to complete the card was to put a dimensional on the back
so they're all popped up a little and then just putting my flower wherever i wanted it
so easy quick and simple great card for kind of more vintage look and perfect for any quilter
or anyone that appreciates that so thank you for watching and if you enjoyed this video
