My idea was, at a first moment, was to have about 6 to 10 works
to have at home 'cause i always thought i could never have more than this.
Step by step he could select within the artists works and suitable to trades,
he could select works that sometimes are some of the best works from the artists.
Each one of those works that get here, i'm not only bringing a painting
a sculpture, a drawing or a engraving...
what i feel is that in each moment the collection gets bigger,
i'm also getting a new friend.
Bosco's collection has a particularity.
Because its a collection from a professional.
I mean, a collection of a person that is a professional of the look,
and that has that eye that descriminates, chooses, and a criterious eye.
Another point of view of the collector as an artist,
the collector as a conceptual artist.
He selects the works that he takes as importants, that he likes,
and he creates an artist work that is the collection.
He doesn't focus on materials, for example...
techniques ou geniouses, or paintings, engraving, sculptures, etc.
His collection covers any technique,
any tendency.
Bosco's collection has that spirity of generality, that is indeed a very nice thing about a collection.
All collectors i know are moved by the idea of love and passion for the work.
So i think those are the criteria for those who collects.
The criteria of excellency, and the empathy. From the collector to the work of art.
Its rare to see a collector that has the profile of an artist in his collection.
That's what i think is the most important in a collection.
To have the profile of an artist. To have many moments of this artist.
Its obvious that i'm aware that since the beginning of the collection,
a very good heritage is beeing made.
But it occurs that in any moment that's the intention.
The real intention is the pleasure that this contact brings,
and the learning that this contact brings.
I think that the real spirity of a collection relies on this...
in a process of mutual growth, from the collection and the collector.
I think that fundamentaly, a collection is an act of love...
and persistence for sure.
To collect is something like trying to put a particular order in world caos.
Any collection tells about the collector. I think that a lot.
And not the other way around.
I think is very important of people to realize that
there's a great difference among collection and gathering things.
Is something that implies in coherence. In choices, in irrelevance.
Is like having a book and be able to flip around, read again, go back.
Some great collectors out there like Ludwig from Cologne...
his collection became so important that it became a museum. Ludwig Museum.
When it becames public, or when eventualy shown, then she has fulfilled her role.
The collector pleases himself and at the same time show and educate the audience.
The wok of art also exists when exposed. She performs an act.
That exhibition is truely a beatiful sharing of pleasure.
When i go to a exhibition that is a collection of works of art,
i sense a feel of gratitude for that collector that gave me the chance to share such pleasure.
