Welcome to an VPI instruction video This video demonstrates how to terminate CAT5e UTP cable using VPI's RJ45 plugs Carefully cut cable insulation removing 1 inch of jacket to expose wires. Separate twisted pairs, straighten, and place wires in proper order. While holding wires flat and in proper order, trim to approximately one half inch in length. Apply the connector, aligning the wires with the slots inside. Press the connector on so that the wires are all the way inside. Take note of how far the jacket extends inside the connector. Crimp down tightly on the connector and cable. Thank you for watching.
