Floppy Propeller - English - Fun fan from an old floppy disc

old floppy discs are no more in use because we can not store much data on it. take a small floppy disc and remove the catch which is made of aluminium. you pull it apart and spread it out. you will see two plastic layers. you open the layers out and in the center of both these layers you will see an X-ray light circular disc. this is where the data is stored. there is an aluminium disc in the middle. now make 8 cuts on this foil which are equally placed and then crease them so as to make fan blades. these twists in each fan will convert it into blades. then press fit a piece of stiff straw in the aluminium disc. this will act like a bush bearing. now place a bicycle spoke and place the entire assembly under the ceiling fan and the floppy propeller will keep spinning very beautifully. this is the vertical levitation toy. you can see the magnets and which will repel the magnet on the pencil. now you make the pencil stand on one leg. and the magnet on the pencil will be repelled by the 3 magnets outside and if you place it under a ceiling fan the floppy propeller will keep spinning and pencil will remain vertical. here you can see these students enjoying and playing with the toy like this. you can also place it on a stand and when you place it under the ceiling fan this floppy propeller will just keep spinning beautifully.
