Photoshop How to Transfer Headshot Photo to Typography Portrait Tutorial

Hi In this video I will show you How-to-transfer-headshot photo to Typography Portrait Also you will learn how to create new brushes and fill pattern I download this headshot photo labeled free to use commercially I will add link to the site bellow The image is about 688x688 pixel dimension and resolution is 72 pixel per inch Go to layer panel press CTRL+J to duplicate layer turn of the original image Go to magic wand tool or press W To select the black area and get rid of it Then go to layer menu duplicate layer press the arrow head select new name it headshot displacement Press ok then close the layer click yes and save the file in place we can come back to it easily Go to layer panel press adjustment layer icon then select hue-saturation and drag the hue- saturation Slider bar to minus -100 Again go to layer panel press adjustment layer icon this time select POSTRIZE in levels write 4 move this layer down to hue-saturation adjustment layer Then I will start to save selection of the 4 levels above go to rectangular marquee tool or press M Select area then go to selection menu –choose similar then again go to selection menu-modify- expand- write 1 pixel press ok to accept then go to selection menu – save selection –write fawzi01 I will repeat this for the other three levels Then I will start to create fill pattern from the text I go to internet Wikipedia then select some text CTRL+C then open new file in Microsoft word then press CTRL+V try to condense the article adjust space and font size and select justify adjust after you satisfy about the result press CTRL+A to select then CTRL+C to copy In Photoshop open new file is about 688x688 pixel dimension and resolution is 72 pixel per inch Then press CTRL+V to paste Go to magic wand tool or press W to select white color Press CTRL+X to get rid of it Go to rectangular marquee tool or press M Click and drag to select the words then go to edit menu select define pattern Name the pattern fawzi01 I will repeat this step to have variable fill pattern from different font size and adjustment Then I will start to create brushes from the text Go to layer panel create new layer and of other layer then write the text you want and select each text alone Then go to edit menu – select define brushes preset –name the brush and press ok Repeat this step for the other text Click back to headshot file 2 steps to finish Typography Portrait First to create fill pattern 1-create new layer Off all other layer select paint bucket tool under gradient Then in option bar Select pattern and click the arrow head choose one of the pattern we define earlier Mode normal opacity 100% then click to get the pattern fill go to filter menu –select distort –displace Select the file we made earlier headshot displace Then go to select menu – load selection –select fawzi01 to activate Go to layer panel click on Add layer mask icon Then create new layer Second to apply brushes 2-Again go to select menu – load selection –select fawzi01 to activate Go to brush tool or press B in option bar select one of the brushes we define earlier Start to brush press bracket to resize Repeat this 2 step till you finish saved selection This are the final result we can adjust the opacity of each layer Then activate the upper layer press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+E to get composite layer You can add gradient effect or other manipulation Thank you for watching fawziacademy please subscribe share this video Favorite and like
